Up to May 12, Go First cancels all flights

Go First, a cash-strapped airline, said on Friday that all of its flights through May 12 had been cancelled.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has received a request for voluntary insolvency resolution procedures from the Wadia group-owned airline, and the tribunal reserved its decision on Thursday.

The airline said that “Go First flights scheduled until May 12th 2023 have been cancelled due to operational reasons.”

It further said that a complete refund will soon be processed to the original payment method.

The airline first suspended all flights for three days beginning on May 3, and subsequently extended it until May 9. Flights are now cancelled till May 12.

The airline has halted ticket sales until May 15, according to Thursday's announcement from aviation regulator DGCA.

The watchdog has also instructed the airline to execute passenger refunds in accordance with the deadlines expressly set down in the applicable rules.
