The Karnataka boys declared their innings after restarting the play from their overnight total of 268 runs at three wickets lost. They then proceeded to hit 563 runs at five wickets lost. Three centuries in the Karnataka innings, from Manish Pandey (148), Vyshak (103), and S Sharath (100), gave the team a 296-run advantage.

In response, Chandigarh was at 61 for no loss at the time of the stumping, thanks to the undefeated combination established by openers Shivam Bhambri (33) and Arslan Khan (27).

The Karnataka innings was earlier opened today by Pandey and Hardik Raj. The pair’s undefeated partnership was extended to 239 runs over night. Before Raj was caught by Mayank Sidhu off Karana Kaila for 82 off 178 balls, with seven boundaries, the duo established a solid platform for Karnataka. After taking Pandey for 148 off 181 balls, which included three sixes and 17 boundaries, Kaila struck once more shortly after, bringing the side down to 365 runs at the cost of five wickets.

But another successful alliance was still to come as Vyshak and Sharath put together an incredible unbroken 198-run partnership for the sixth wicket of the innings. Before the hosts captain declared their innings at 563 runs with five wickets down, Vyshak struck 103 off 141 balls with 10 boundaries and two sixes, while Sharath scored 100 off 160 balls with 11 boundaries. The Chandigarh captain was served by eight bowlers, but Kaila was the only one with two wickets for the day.
