Team India announced for Asia Cup, BCCI released squad; To Play against Pakistan on this day

There was a long-standing dispute over the venue of the Asia Cup 2023. At present, the controversy had not stopped yet that the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has made a big announcement on Friday morning. Many fans may be shocked by this announcement. Actually the board has announced the squad for the upcoming tournament. For this, a 14-member main squad has been selected. Along with this, its date has also been announced in the release issued by BCCI. The Indian team will play three matches in the league stage. Out of which one match will also be against Pakistan.

Actually BCCI has not released this squad for men’s Asia Cup. Rather the board has released India A’s squad and schedule of matches for the Women’s Emerging Asia Cup. For this, 14 players have been given place in the team. The Indian team will start its campaign from 13th June. During this, on June 17, the team will also play its match against Pakistan.

India A vs Hong Kong – 13 June 2023
India A vs Thailand A – 15 June 2023
India A vs Pakistan A – 17 June 2023

Shweta Sehrawat (Captain), Soumya Tiwari (Vice-Captain), Trisha Gongdi, Muskan Malik, Shreyanka Patil, Kanika Ahuja, Uma Kshetri (Wicket-keeper), Mamta Madiwala (Wicket-keeper), Titas Sandhu, Yashshree S, Kashvi Gautam, Parshvi Chopra, Mannat Kashyap, B Anusha.

This tournament will be played in Hong Kong. For this, the teams have been placed in two groups A and B. There are four teams in each group. Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, Malaysia A and UAE A have been placed in Group B. It is starting from 12th June. The final match will be played on June 21.
