Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, would see sports orthopaedics in Mumbai for advice on the condition of his problematic left knee before deciding on a course of therapy, according to CEO Kasi Viswanathan on Wednesday.
Dhoni had his left knee severely wrapped during the whole IPL season, and although he seemed perfectly fine when keeping wicket, he sometimes batted as late as No. 8 and didn't appear quick between the wickets.
“It is true that Dhoni would seek medical counsel on his left knee ailment and make a decision in accordance with that advise. If surgery is recommended, the decision will entirely be up to him, Viswanathan said, and it will only be known once the findings are released.
