Shakira answers to relationship rumors by saying she is "focused on her family"

After being compelled to deny dating Tom Cruise rumors, Shakira is now “focusing on her family” and keeping active.
The couple first ignited romance rumors when they were seen together at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, according to Mirror.co.uk.
Shakira and Hollywood icon Tom, 60, reportedly had “chemistry” after the singer's acrimonious breakup with football player Gerard Pique, according to a source. After 12 years of marriage, the 36-year-old Barcelona defender and the 46-year-old singer announced their separation in June of last year. Since then, Clara Chia Marti, 24, has been Gerard's new love.
Top Gun actor Tom was said to be “extremely interested in pursuing Shakira,” according to Mirror.co.uk, but a family friend has stated the two are simply friends and that Shakira has other interests.
“Friends meet together while they're in Miami. She has known Tom for a long time, despite the media's attempts to portray them as lovers. She is devoted to her family, according to Ana Lourdes Martinez, who spoke to Page Six.
Tom may be the soft cushion Shakira needs to fall asleep on, a source earlier told the tabloid, adding that he is “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.”
But given that Shakira is supposedly juggling “a lot on her plate” at the moment, it seems that it was not meant to be.
